Hey guys happy Tuesday and welcome to tegskinktyu...
Apologies for NOT telling you about the break I took but it was needed to revamp and make the blog look better.. As you know this blog was a fashion blog and it has been transitioned into a Natural Hair Blog  So it needed new interface, Outlook and general polishing...
I now have different segments were we can connect more and better just hit the search button and you will see different options and segment to visit..

As a part of taking blogging more seriously I will keeping a consistent posting schedule, blog post will be going up on TUESDAYS, THURSDAYS AND SATURDAYS so be on the look out for those days..
You can subscribe and follow the blog so you can get instant notification when post goes up in other not to miss anything.

Now that we have that out of the way let's get straight into this post..
From the post title this is going to be TEN must haves a naturalista must have with them and I have divided it into FIVE PRODUCTS AND FIVE INSTRUMENTS

Ties or Hair Clips: We have all experienced those days when we would leave the house with a fleeked hair  so but end up looking a huge hot mess by the middle of the day because of different reasons, this is when your hair tie or clip comes in Handy cos all you need to do is pull one out of your bags or your hand and put your hair up in a nice bun.

Toothbrush: Yes I said it, toothbrush this is a very light and convenient instrument to have. You can use it to brush and lay your edges of use to generally brush those 'notice me' hairs that sticks.

Afro Comb and a Wide tooth comb: This is very important,  I have seen people with natural hair use other types of comb to comb their hair, it's wrong and doesn't help the growth of your hair it all...  So get yourself one of these combs.

Spray Bottle: If you are a natural, you MUST have a spray bottle. For your moisturising mixtures, wash day usage etc.

Bobby Pins and Roller Sets: Most naturals live their lives with twist outs lol and rollers sets and Bobby pins help you get the perfect twist outs and help them last longer too

Gels or Activators: I was one of those naturals that didn't believe that a gel can do anything for my natural hair but that was because I hadn't found any good one. But yes there are great gels out there that can totally help you for either your wash and go's or your twist.

Curling Based Cream: This for me is the root of everything, for your curls to be more defined and beautiful you need a good curling base cream to help with that.

Leave-in Conditioners: This works magic for your hair to help retain moisture and leaving your hair silky smooth and your curls bouncy.

Honey: Always add a drop of honey to your wash day routines and watch to see how totally amazing your hair will eventually turn out. Honey acts as HUMECTANT It prevents the loss of moisture from your scalp. It’s hygroscopic properties (love of water) means that it can attract and hold onto water molecules from the atmosphere.

Oils: What is a natural hair without the benefits of Oils... Oiling your hair is the bases of a great hair care routine.. And my oils of choice are

  • Olive oil
  • Coconut oil
  • Almond oil
  • Hemp oil
  • Castor oil.

Hope this post have been helpful, make sure to leave me a comment if you have other must haves I didn't list here..

Hey kinks what's up y'all?.... Greetings! I hope everyone is having a fab day?

Okay so to the post what is a split end?  The end of a hair strand is damaged resulting in the strand separating into two or more fragments.

Hair breakage is more of a problem for naturals than split ends because split ends is as a result of many activities that a TRUE natural try to avoid..

Most naturals really suffer from hair breakage and I used to be a part of the team (even do my hair still breaks it has reduced a lot)

Here are five tips to help you manage hair breakage..

TRIM YOUR HAIR AS OFTEN AS POSSIBLE:I came in contact with someone who told me that she has a phobia for cutting her hair and she was worried she was weird, but the psychologist in  me didn't see her as crazy though, this is a real problem that a lot of women have. With that being said,  trimming your hair doesn't mean you are cutting it off, it means you cutting of the damaged ends to allow new growth to be possible.

Hey kinks what's up y'all? Happy weekend darlings..

So based on the numerous questions on hair growth, here are three reasons why your hair isn't growing.

YOU COMB IT ALL THE TIME: I have stressed this IN  my hair journey that I don't comb my hair all the time. In fact one of my new year's hair resolution is to comb my hair less this year..  So I take finger detangling serious and I am patient with it. Combing of natural hair (which is already hard in the first place)causes SERIOUS tension to your hair follicles and breaks your hair more than it would if you just finger detangle!.

YOU DO NOT MAINTAIN A HAIR ROUTINE: like I have said in previous post you have to be consistent but not just consistent, you must have a hair routine or regimen.. Your hair has to be accustomed to a specific method.. It's not everything that is flying in the market that you should do (Charley trust me I learnt the had way).. There are a lot of DIY's out there but you have to be c…

Hey kinks how are you doing? hope everyone is doing exceptionally well? so today i am going to be sharing with  you ten healthy ways you can manage shrinkage.
Before i start let me just mention it here that  as a 4type hair natural, your hair is going to shrink no matter what you do and it is actually a sign of healthy hair living. So lets get straight into them. STYLES: Some particular hair styles can actually help your shrinking hair life, the best way i like to stretch out my hair is to put it in a Bantu knot, it not only stretches it out but it is also stylish. I do not like applying heat to my hair at all, i try my possible best to stay away from heat application so this is a very efficient way of stretching out my hair.
AFRICAN THREADING TECHNIQUE: This is basically how our mothers wore their hair in the good ole days and it stretches out your hair beautiful..
MAKE SURE THAT YOUR HAIR IS NOT LEFT OUT FOR TOO LONG: Now I am here for the cute twist out and all and other beautiful ha…
